How to find Deeside
Kelsterton (a keelster's town) was originally a Viking setlement. Tegengle (or Deceingl) is the land between the Clwyd and Dee in the ore rich hills of north east Cymru. These are Arthurian lands, at the heart of ancient Britain. Modern Deeside is in a state of continuous expansion, with extensive tracts of reclaimed 'sea land' being gradually brought into use for agriculture and industrial development along the northern shore of the Dee estuary alongside sites of special scientific interest and wildlife reserves. Connah's Quay Nomads will play their home matches away from Deeside Stadium whilst the pitch is overhauled and work is conducted to improve drainage. Fflint Town United's Cae Y Castell stadium, (trans. 'Castle Field') is reached easily by road or rail and is located next to the picturesque remains of Fflint castle on the south bank of the Dee estuary, next to the RNLI lifeboat station.

By road, turn right (from Deeside, left from Mostyn) at the traffic lights in the centre of Fflint. The one-way system will lead you under the railway, close to Fflint station, and around the castle grounds to a car park, from which the ground is a short walk 'upstream'. Similarly, by public transport, alight a Fflint station or one of the bus stops in the town centre.
